My students love learning through games and collaboration. We are given an hour a day to do differentiated instruction based on the needs of our students. A huge thing that my students enjoy doing on days they do not conference with me, is play different math games with each other. It helps them practice their new skills and teaches them how to work and compete with each other in a safe and cooperative way. These games can be used in groups, pairs, or some individually as well with a self check method. Please help us get these things into our classroom so that we can become even better mathematicians.
