These flexible seating options will allow my students to find my room a place of comfort and care. It will also allow them to make choices to best fit their needs. My room is used in many ways, one being a testing room. This transformation will allow students that have been too large to fit in the regular desks, ones that are left handed, or ones that can not focus for a long period of time, to have options that help meet their needs! Currently, my students do their best to find creative areas to work, but many end up on the cold hard floor. A new unique space will allow them to be independent, learn how to meet their needs, and provide a way to exert energy to boost their focus. Many of my students with ADHD have found it easier to focus from just being on a wobble chair. My group of students have become like family, and our "family room" needs some help! It would be such a joy to see these students experience a gift to encourage and empower them to reach their full potential. This is something some of them have never experienced.
