We are requesting books that are gauged towards my students' current reading levels. The classroom library should be a place where students can find engaging and enjoyable books that are accessible based on reading level. My students are at different stages of reading development and language acquisition, and need accessible books that promote their growth as readers. By providing students with accessible books that match their reading levels, reading becomes a much more enjoyable experience. Ultimately, this helps build the foundation in creating lifelong readers and learners. Developing a love of reading at such an early age is critical in the promotion of academic success, self confidence, independent thought, and critical thinking. These books will be used during independent reading time, and this project will enhance their accessibility to engaging texts.
