Small reading groups and intervention activities allow me to differentiate instruction for my students learning to read. Kindergarteners come into school at many different levels of readiness. While some students are ready to begin blending sounds and reading words, others lack the skills to be able to do so. These phonics activities will allow me to work with small groups targeting the specific skills they need to become skilled and confident readers. Students learn best when they are having fun. Learning to read shouldn't be boring. Why not use fun engaging hands on activities and to teach basic reading skills? Help me teach these impressionable minds that reading is FUN!
