Every year, to ensure my students have access to supplies, I provide them. We use these notebooks in the Interactive Notebook style. These notebooks help me to teach my students how to organize information and content. They use these notebooks as a yearlong portfolio. Additionally, Interactive Notebooks (INBs) allow multiple learning styles to be supported. Students extend beyond the learning on the paper. They use the portfolio to connect their learning. I supply all of my students with the notebooks so that there is no anxiety surrounding being able to have their supplies on time. This is a critical aspect of a student's experience of school and, resultantly, their relationship with content.
