The hope for these flexible seating options is to provide outside of the box thinking for students who may require more movement in their day and to increase their productivity. These stools would allow students to move around while they are seated. Currently, under my school's Smart Goal of Instructional Practice: All staff will continue to use a variety of physical learning spaces that are flexible and adaptable, enable collaboration, interaction, and information sharing. As teachers, we are prepared to meet our students' basic needs, and if those needs are met, students feel safe and part of a community. Improvement in student learning, risk-taking, and problem-solving would also increase.
