The students are currently learning dances and dance technique without mirrors in the classroom. The utilization of mirrors in the dance setting would be beneficial to my students because they will be able to see proper alignment, their spacing in relation to peers and how great they look dancing alone and together as a group. Mirrors in a dance studio are not only for aesthetic purposes, they greatly help with the students self-confidence. The ability to see their reflection while dancing allows them to make changes on their own, without needing feedback from the teacher in front of their peers. They can see proper alignments to prevent injury and correct common mistakes like pronating, supinating, and poor posture.
