Hands-on learning is the best learning! This skeleton will allow the students in my classes to learn about what is inside their bodies. We will not only learn about basic bone structure and placement, we will use the skeleton to examine muscle placement and function, where organs are located, and much more. The ability to have a hands-on approach will give the students a greater chance at maintaining what they are taught. With this addition, we will be able to not only explore the human body parts, but we will be able to have active demonstrations on how we move during different activities. I will be able to utilize this tool in several different classes ranging from middle school life science, health, biology, and anatomy. Being in a low income school district often limits what opportunities our students have for hands on activities. This will make a big difference!
