These books will be given to students who may not have other books of their own at home. Many of our students are learning virtually and are not able to come to the school or public library. Even those students who are learning in school would benefit from a book to keep. This will be one book to add to their home library so they have something to read when they can't get to school or the public library. When students hear they are going to get to keep a book, their faces light up! The most important aspect of coming to the library is the relationship kids have with books. I try to emphasize reading is fun and they should get to read books of their own choosing. Letting them pick a book of their own to keep is going to make their day!
