This is my fifth year teaching Greek Mythology to my students, and every year I try to keep things fresh. This year I was inspired by my love of inquiry and play to create Greek Myth learning stations. Students will play mythology-inspired strategy board games. They will use quality earbuds to listen to the retelling of myths through audiobooks. LEGO StoryTales will allow students to recreate scenes from famous myths, practicing the importance of story elements. Lastly, they will both read about and act as famous figures from the mythological stories. Students learn best through play and exploration, and this project will allow students to do both. Making learning fun every day is my goal, and these materials will allow me to continue improving my Greek Mythology unit resulting in deeper learning, while also meeting my "learning is fun" goal!
