After watching the movie, Wonder, my class expressed an emense amount of interest in reading the book. After seeing the interest I have planned a novel study that will teach point of view, elements of literature as well as text structure. Most importantly this novel study will teach kindness. This novel shows how kindness changed the lives of many people. This novel teaches a message that will stay with these children for life. Doing a novel study unit with Wonder will help motivate my students to continue to choose kind every single day. This novel will also help my students learn that how they treat one another has such a huge impact on the world. In a society where bullying is on the rise my class tries to choose kindness every day and I know that studying this novel will only help them make an even bigger difference.
