I often photocopy books so that I will have enough of a set of the same title to instruct a small group in reading strategies. Having this library of guided reading and sight word books in my room will allow me to instruct my students with high interest materials therefore adding to their motivation. A great variety of titles allows for exposure to many different ideas, which increases the students vocabulary and experiential knowledge. Also, a variety of books used in reading instruction helps me to foster a love of reading, as well as a love of learning, in my students.
