Hi! Welcome to our class! My students are in grades 9-12 in a Life Skills Special Education Program for students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities. We work towards building basic academics in Reading, Writing, and Math. We also work to improve Adult Survival Skills, such as money, time, calendar, reading a menu, etc. We also have a classroom kitchen and laundry room to practice Daily Living Skills. In addition, we work to improve Vocational Skills, such as completing classroom or campus jobs or volunteer opportunities around the campus or community. Needless to say, we are BUSY! Outside of the classroom, our students are athletes, competing in Special Olympics and Unified Sports all year long. Whether it’s Basketball, Bocce Ball, Bowling, Flag Football, Soccer, Volleyball, or Track & Field, we’re practicing sportsmanship all while having fun! Thank you for considering us in your donation! We appreciate you!
