The use of these Samsung Galaxy Tabs will change how my students are able to receive information In Social Studies, we tackle some of the most difficult topics that are outside the realm of other subjects. One of my students favorite learning opportunities is through stations. In station based learning, there is a number of different segments to the activity, each covering a different topic. With the use of these tablets we will be able to incorporate interactive maps, charts, and other sources. Similar to how students are expected to test with technology enhanced questions. Being able to provide technology to each group increases the ownership that students take in their own education. It provides them with a tool to take responsibility for what they learn. Technology in the classroom is one of the most beneficial and versatile tools for learning. These tabs will aid in keeping all students on the same pace by providing different mediums for transferring information. One of the most difficult issues in classrooms is keeping everyone on the same pace. When students are absent they miss valuable pieces of instruction. These tabs will provide an opportunity to have a portable and mobile vessel to transfer information to students. (looking at missed powerpoints, videos, sources, etc.) With our classroom's limited access to technology, these 4 tablets open up more opportunities than can be expressed in 2 to 3 paragraphs
