In my classroom, respect and try are the 2 main rules. That is what I demand from my students. If they can do those 2 things, everything else will fall into place. I have found that my students are more engaged and eager to learn when they are able to touch and do what they are learning. Science is best learned when it is performed, not heard. While textbooks and videos are important tools in my classroom, the best tool is experience. I try to give my students as many hands-on opportunities as possible. I also know that my students need to be comfortable and trusting of me and one another. My goal is to create a comfortable space and build relationships so that my students have the potential to reach their goals.

About my class
