As a third year Spanish teacher, this year I began to build my classroom library to have students do free voluntary reading in Spanish. I have a very small collection of books (15 or so) that were donated by parents at the beginning of the year. The books in this project, will be an addition to what I already have in my classroom. The main challenge right now is providing my students with enough books for them to read. Students have shown a great interest in reading independently to books they never thought they would understand before they began their journey as language learners. They love to read in Spanish and enhance their vocabulary.
