Uniforms are an essential part of any competitive team and I really believe our students would really come together as a unit if they were able to look as good as the other teams they are playing against. Currently my students have had to purchase their own shirt each year and are wearing any pair of shorts that they already own creating a team with mismatched uniforms. As they are taking the field against other teams who have quality attire and look like an organized team, it puts a preconceived notion in their head before the game ever starts. A Hall of Fame NFL player once said "look good, play good...." and I truly believe that matching uniforms would go a long way towards the success of our soccer team.
