These students who are receiving free and reduced lunch deserve a new and exciting field trip! Third Grade does a big unit in Science on the Sun, Moon and Earth and this would fit our curriculum perfectly! The Greensboro Science Center has an amazing Planetarium! Students will also be exposed to a museum, zoo and aquarium, most for the first time in their lives! From the stingray touch tank to the floor to ceiling shark tank, from the otters to the brand new tigers outdoors, and dinosaurs and reptiles inside! This will expose them to so much more in a system where Science is mostly learned within the Literature circle.
