My students are ten and eleven year old fifth graders. We live in Minnesota, but many of my students or their families were born in Mexico or other Latin American countries. In our public school we have 86% of the students take part in the free and reduced lunch program. Many of our students come from single family homes or homes where their parents do not speak English. These students are highly motivated, hard working, energetic, and they love to learn! I am so proud of the hard work and progress they are already making this school year. Despite the lack of resources these students have at home, they come to school with a positive attitude and ready to learn!

About my class
