The old document camera and projector that I inherited are very dated and in serious need of replacement. I am very frustrated that the shortcomings of these devices inhibit my students' learning, but my school does not currently have the funding to purchase new devices for me. Between the unimpressive resolution of the document camera and the inadequate brightness of the projector, my students often have trouble seeing the content projected on the board. I am constantly turning the classroom lights on and off, opening and closing the window blinds, and doing all sorts of other things to try and mitigate the problems. The new high-resolution document camera and HD projector will allow me to immediately improve my students' learning experience. Those bothersome old technology problems will instantly be gone. My students will be able to clearly see the instructional material that they need to master rigorous mathematical content. I know that my students will be thrilled about having these new and wonderful devices as a permanent part of our shared classroom home.
