Do you know students who love math? We do. As with sports, there are students who enjoy academic competitions. Our Math Team are those students. The team does not have calculators. It is competitive in the Number Sense competition because Number Sense does not permit calculators. Not having calculators on which to practice hurts us competitively on the Calculator Applications and Mathematics events, and our team members cannot afford to buy their own. During competitions, we borrow calculators from the math teachers, but must return them the next day for class. Like any instrument, practice makes perfect. The Math Team has a need for speed! Please help us be the best we can be.
