Like many students, my 7th grade junior historians are a disorganized bunch. The situation is made worse by the fact that they are without the most basic materials. Teaching social studies with an emphasis on history, means that they receive a lot of paper based materials to support our inquiry driven curriculum. They often come to class without homework, notes, and assigned readings which means that I am constantly forced to interrupt instructional time to find or run off additional copies. My junior historians would benefit tremendously from having binders. Not only will they finally be able to keep up with assignments and handouts, but they will also develop vital study and organizational skills.

About my class
