These materials that I would like to add to my classroom are all meant to encourage and support pretend play for my students. Bringing generalizable items such as the tool box, doctor kit, dress-ups, kitchen materials (dishes, utensils, cups, etc.), and baby items will help motivate the students to use their imaginations and cooperative play with one another in a way that they may see in everyday life. The dinosaurs will be a great addition to my classroom because my students already love the few that we currently have. I would like to add more so several of the students can be involved in the play with the dinosaurs at the same time. My students love to explore through pretend play and use their imagination to be active in their environment.
