Many of the students that I teach come from low income homes and come to class without their necessary supplies. The students that I teach have also been diagnosed with a learning disability. These students struggle daily with organization and managing ADHD. As their teacher, I put forth everything I can to ensure that my students are able to stay engaged in the lesson and make sure that they have the supplies that they need to enhance their learning. In order for my students to be successful in the classroom they need paper, pencils, pens, and dry erase markers and boards. Students should not be punished for not having supplies, because their parents may not afford them. I also try to promote a clean and germ free classroom so Clorox wipes, disinfectant spray and tissues are a necessary part of the class environment.
