The math manipulatives will be used to help my students better understand math concepts. We focus on place value and fractions several times in the year. The math tiles are used so that students are able to visualize place value and get a better idea of number sense. The fraction models are used so students can see how fractions can be split into smaller pieces. The whiteboards will be used to facilitate better classroom discussions and activities. The thermometers will be used in science to help learn about climate and the water cycle. We use these thermometers in experiments where we measure water temperature, track greenhouse gasses temperature, and visualize how heat is dispersed in a room.
