Our third through fifth grade students are just beginning their theater careers and may not be able to project their voices throughout a large auditorium. We are in need of handheld and headset microphones and sound equipment that will amplify their voices so even the smallest or shyest of students can be proudly heard. This set also gives us an easy and organized way to store material so it doesn’t get broken. The gel packs will help us light up the stage. Musical theater brings together a community of learners; it builds reading skills, speaking skills, self confidence and respect for others. Through the Disney Musicals in Schools program, we are building a sustainable musical theater program in our elementary school. Purchasing this equipment instead of renting it year after year, will save us thousands of dollars in the years to come as we build a complete musical theater program for our young students.
