By giving my students walls, it will enable them to interact with each other without disturbing other classes. The students in my class are most ELLs. That means that they need ample opportunities to discuss ideas, sing songs, act out and yes, make a little noise. First grade is time of singing, discussing and playing, all while learning the most important lesson of all, to LOVE school. Please help me provide this to my sweet 6 year olds by giving them the chance to express their thoughts and ideas without having to worry about disturbing others. First grade is a pivital year in setting them up for success for many years to come.
