Cooking is a lifelong skill that students need to become independent adults. In my Family and Consumer Science classes I teach students these skills, but desperately need some new pots and pans to help the students become successful at cooking. When we currently cook, the food sticks to the pans because they are old and in need of replacement. A gracious donation of new cookware to our classroom will help the students to feel good about what they are cooking and transfer those skills to their everyday lives. New cookware can help the students learn a variety of healthy cooking methods and techniques which will be useful to them for the rest of their lives!
