These new supplies will help me, as the school nurse, provide quality nursing care to all my students. They will ensure the health and safety of our students, in turn, allowing them more time in the learning environment, not time out of school due to illness or injury. Reliable thermometers are a must in schools today allowing proper diagnosis of illness. Students that may possibly be contagious can be cared for and sent home, decreasing the spread of illness. I see several dozen children in my office on a daily basis. Students with bruises, bumps and cuts may need first aid and ice packs for their injuries. The use ziploc snack bags for ice packs on a daily basis. With hand sanitizer, and bandages, my students will be able to keep their area clean and protect themselves from germs. Healthy kids are happy kids! Tooth Saver Necklaces charms are used to save students baby teeth. Tooth Fairy makes her appearance that night! A healthy child is able to learn and have the opportunity to meet or exceed their educational needs.
