My students are in a 5th grade self contained special needs class. They come from diverse backgrounds and live in a socioeconomic disadvantaged community in the Bronx, New York. There have various learning disabilities. They are passionate about the arts, and have had many successful performances in the class and in school. Taking a field trip to actually watch a live performance on stage with professional actors may inspire them to achieve their goal!
