"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn." Today's learners are tomorrow's leaders. Lights, Camera, Help Us Take Action is a project to provide students with the opportunity to take their learning outside of the traditional walls of the school building and share it with those around the world! By opening up the opportunity for students to create and express their learning through video, their depth of knowledge in all content areas can be deepened. From creating videos to explain the derivation of formulas such as the volume of a cone, to filming and explaining examples of weathering and erosion in their community, to traveling back in time to construct an interview with key political figures the use of a Green Screen and IOGrapher film equipment can expand out students opportunities to create assignments to share not only with their classmates but amongst the educational world through video. The Green Screen will allow the students to create videos with a background of anywhere in the world as they research and apply knowledge. The IOGrapher kit will help provide a tripod, handheld base, lighting, etc to help sturdy and advance the quality of student filming. Thank you in advance for supporting our students!
