All of my students are transitioning readers and are just beginning to read books that have longer story lines and interesting plots. I have chosen most of the books that my students have requested by name such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Big Nate, Owl Diaries, Fly Guy, Bad Kitty, Ramona and Beezus, Captain Underpants, and Dog Man. Providing my students with these novels will broaden their knowledge and take them to places they have never before experienced. They are young, hard working, learning to love readers who need more access to today's popular novels along with the classics of yesterday.

About my class
