These books will enhance the classroom library I am striving to create by adding a rich variety of materials- chapter books for the heritage and native speakers, picture books for students still building their vocabulary, graphic novels and magazines for students who are somewhere in between. Students will be able to choose what they are reading, which will help them enjoy independent reading time and (hopefully) instill a love of reading. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will offer the variety and interest that my students need to grow stronger as readers.
