Classroom discussions are a huge part of both our academic learning and social learning in our class. We share our thoughts and feelings during our daily morning meetings, students discuss their ideas and learning strategies with their precision partners, and students share their thinking during whole group learning as well. Sharing ideas with the class can be difficult when the person speaking cannot be heard by everyone. A throwable microphone will allow all of my students to be heard when sharing their thoughts and ideas. Using a microphone is important during class discussions and class meetings because students listen better when they can clearly hear what is being said. Also, students are more engaged and willing to share when they know they will be heard.
