My students are not able to use a mouse on a regular computer because their fine motor issues. Therefore a touchscreen on an iPad is very beneficial to them. This use of an iPad would be part of their daily routines. They willl be able to access communication apps. Reading apps, math apps and different adapted educational materials. They will be able to use the iPad in their independent station work or in small group activities. In today’s world it is important that students know how to use and access different types of technology like iPads. This will help them to learn functional life skills.
