These supplies will refurbish my stick and mallet supply, and provide reeds and valve oil for students who may otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in music. These supplies give more students an opportunity to have success in music. Some of my students come from families where if the school did not have some avenue to give music supplies such as reeds, the students would miss the opportunity to be a part of a community, learn an instrument, or build confidence by overcoming their own personal challenges in music. Although many of these students will not play an instrument after middle school or high school, these lessons can be life changing. My student's mallets and sticks that the percussionists use are getting old and breaking.
