I want to create an environment in my classroom that helps my students focus on learning. The Wobble Cushion is just one of the ways I want to provide flexible seating for my students. The benefits of the Wobble is that students that need to be able to move or fidget in their seats to focus can do so without creating noise or distraction for other students. It will strengthen their muscles as they balance themselves on the cushion. It improves posture. It is comfortable so it helps students focus on their work. These cushions will be one option in my flexible seating plan as well as my small group work around being mindful of our stress and emotions. The Fluorescent Light Covers Cozy Shades will soften the light to reduce eye strain. They will also make the room feel more inviting without the harshness of the bright lights. These covers will also add to the atmosphere of calming when we have our mindfulness small groups. The whole child is in my room and I want to help the child reach their best self. I want to address their social emotional needs as well as their academic needs.
