Our students are good kids. Comprehension is hard for many of them, because they have not had the experiences middle class kids have had. Many have had a parent in prison. Many have seen violence in their neighborhood. Many of our students have never traveled more than 30 miles from the town they were born in. Besides academic content we teach them about the world, and to work hard and dream big...they can learn and make good choices to shape their own futures!

About my class
