My school is a K-5 elementary school in the heart of Alexandria, Virginia. A historic school with a rich history, I am thrilled to begin my first year at my own neighborhood school after seven years teaching general music at another school in Northern Virginia. My class is a positive, safe and welcoming space and I strive to ensure students sing, dance and play each and every time they enter my classroom. The students arrive with smiles as we embark through various musical and cultural experiences - from playing xylophones to playing the recorder to folk dancing to singing to creating movement with our bodies.
