I have purchased the cardboard mail sorters for many years. They do not seem to last. Having a steel one will last a lifetime. It will help my students to become independent with sorting their classwork; important papers for parents to read; and homework themselves. They will be able to know which mail slot is theirs without any assistance. My students long to be independent. They need to have their own personal space to hold their items in. It helps my students learn organizational skills. It is important to have great student / parent communication. Organization is an important part of executive functioning, and worth teaching to my students!
