Due to their young ages and the challenges my students face, they struggle with focus in the classroom. This makes learning even more difficult for them. During instructional time, we spend a lot of time on the floor in front of a white board. During this part of the day, it seems particularly hard for my students to concentrate on the work we are doing. Flexible seating would allow my students to be comfortable and make their own seating choices. Focus is absolutely key in a productive learning environment! The flexible seating I am asking for includes Kore chairs, a ball chair, wobble cushions and reading beanbags. These seating options are known to increase engagement and effective learning in the classroom. They are very mobile and can be used in many areas of the classroom. I am hopeful that these seating options will help my students to have the focus they need and create a successful learning environment !
