As a teacher librarian I am often reading to my students (in all grades!). Though we have a space for sitting on the floor and listening to stories, we do not have a comfortable rug for them to sit on. This rug will do a couple of things. First, it will create a more comfortable and inviting space for listening to stories. Second, it will offer a more comfortable and inviting space for reading on their own. Third, it will help with student behavior, as they will be given a spot to sit on. This will help with classroom management and give us more time to listen to more great books! Fourth, it will reinforce literacy with images and letters!
