First graders are always moving and they deserve seating options that will allow them to learn best! As long as students are focused on learning I believe that they should be able to sit wherever they want around our classroom. This project would allow them to sit on a cushion on the floor with a lap desk or have a wobble seat in their chair or on the floor to allow a little movement. Children tend to stay focused for much longer when they are able to be comfortable and move. As a first year teacher, I would love to start my teaching career using the best practice of flexible seating that I believe in!

About my class
