You might think that by this time many people should have already had the opportunity to work with technology. In our case, most students first encounter with technology is in the school setting. Due to the fact that they can't afford technological devices at home. I want to be able to provide as many opportunities for my students. We are in a different time where everything revolves around technology. What better way than to expose them to it. In our classroom we have two desktops, which is not enough to go around for 24 students, tablets will really help providing students the chance to interact with a device. We have three different programs that students do to help them with skills that they struggle in, or simply further their education. They must reach a certain amount of usage each month in each individual program. Obtaining tablets will help with this situation, allowing students to do the educational programs on the tablet during centers, or after they have completed their work. Our campus will also be a technology school, it will focus on the integration of technology throughout all content areas. Tablets will build not only their knowledge, but their confidence using technological devices.
