These stories will inspire students for years to come to help overcome emotional distress through inspirational language. Our classroom library is available to all special education and general education teachers and students alike. The purpose of this project is to provide students with language rich inspirational stories. Students who receive special education services benefit most from social emotional learning. Successful social emotional learning teaches self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship making and responsible decision making. There are many short term and long term benefits of social emotional learning, such as improved test scores, self management skills, reduced conduct problems and positive social behaviors with peers and adults. This project will begin the journey of helping these students become the best versions of themselves!
