Keeping students actively engaged is extremely important. Dry erase materials allow all students the chance to participate in hands on learning. The ability to quickly and easily erase keeps students focused and engaged. The boards will be used in whole class, small group and by individuals. Dry erase boards help to reduce the amount of paper used making them environmentally friendly. This is certainly an important concept to teach all students. The plastic sleeves we currently use are wrinkled, dull and hard to erase. My students would love new, two-sided dry erase boards with lines on one side to practice cursive handwriting. As with all things, practice makes perfect! Since some work must be done in pencil we are also in need of large pencils and 2 pencil sharpeners to replace the 2 dying, work horses that I've had for years.
