My students can be very disengaged and are chronically absent from class. I want to provide them with inviting and motivating resources to use within the classroom. Giving my students the basic classroom materials that they need will provide them with opportunities to express their thoughts and ideas through not only academic but artistic ways. The donations to this project will help to improve my classroom environment, making it more inviting and exciting for the students to share their learning. With such a large number of students this year, it is very difficult to provide all of the students with the materials they need. For example, when completing a cut and paste activity, often there are a handful of students who do not have any materials to begin the activity, so they have to wait for some to become available. This is seen as a disadvantage in my classroom and I think my students deserve to have the appropriate materials in their classroom environment.
