For my students who strive to become better readers, ear reading through audio books has opened their world. They are reading more than ever and learning new things every day. These students have strong comprehension when they are given the opportunity to ear read, because they can concentrate on the story rather than decoding words. However, reading their textbooks and any other text that is not available on audiobooks is challenging. Using a C-Pen Reader would provide these students the opportunity to read any text they want or need to independently! The C-Pen Reader scans text and reads it aloud, which supports struggling readers. There is a built in dictionary for students to learn definitions of words they come across as they are reading. The pen also comes with a built in microphone and earbuds. This chargeable technology will provide my striving students the opportunity to read any text and build their confidence as learners and readers.
