My students are not able to afford to buy their own calculators. I have over 20 students in each class and I currently only have 12 calculators. The lack of calculators causes students to have to share which slows down their learning progress. These calculators will allow me to move into advanced concepts in chemistry for many years, servicing the youth of Trenton, NJ. In urban education, funding is often difficult. My students deserve the same education as those who live in wealthier areas. I aspire to also create a physics program at my school to give my future scientists the foundation of science they need to be competitive in the nations finest colleges.
