Industrial Arts with functionality are in high demand as young adults veer towards digital careers. Jewelry making is one of those careers that can be very rewarding in many different ways. I intend to get my already very interested students a chance to see what avenues art can provide for them. Providing an in depth course on jewelry making will open up opportunities for students, they would have never thought possible. Soldering tools, casting vacuums and burnout kilns are not easily accessible to students for learning the Industry of Jewelry making. Providing key tools for students to create professional quality jewelry that could compete with any high quality name in the jewel industry will create success opportunities for any student who completes this course I will provide to my students. Not only will the supplies collected for this course help my students, but I will also be able to provide lessons to the community and local Community College students. I will be able to collaborate with instructors at the community college to trade off lessons. In-turn, this will elevate the quality of instruction and practice provided to our High Schools' students.
